We had an excellent turn-out for the end of the year show. Saturday brought out some new artists, and also a couple of familiar faces. With them came some outstanding art that included photography, painting, sculpting assemblage and we also had some hand crafted jewelry. As a new addition to the experience artist Larry Barnes has built us an outdoor screen set-up, we have taken our video art outdoors. We are larger and brighter. The night included 4 bands, yes you read that right, four bands. They arrived and performed in varying configurations. Very cool night with a full moon as our backdrop!

Our featured artist, Michael Vintege, brought some amazing art to WOCA for our September opening. And as always the Gallery was filled with a wonderful group of diverse art/artists. Hope you made the show.

We are going to be having an opening this September 10th. Once again the space that is… shall become WOCA. It’s a transformation that takes the efforts of herculean proportions. Four nights a year, the opportunity to bring together, I don’t want to sound overly dramatic, but the best undiscovered art that is not afraid to go where others have not gone. Yeah, so I see the same cookie cutter ideas displayed with varying degrees of conformity. It’s not what I need to see hanging in a gallery that has four openings a year. Are you up to it?
